The system we recommend for your project depends on the bottom substrate encountered.
We use an embedment anchor, the Halas-System for hard bottom, or in soft substrate (sand or rubble), we usually use a Manta-Ray anchor system.
With either of the E M I system, an immovable eye is embedded into the bottom with an attached floating line leading to the surface buoy. Installation of these embedment anchors, utilizing a portable hydraulic drill or hammer, will cause no environmental impact upon installation or during the life of the system since no dragging or chain -scouring damage is possible.

EMI Moorings
Our Anchor System
The Manta Ray Anchor
Whatever it takes to get the
equipment to the site. Here we
transported the equipment by
canoe.
Protection is key
The Halas System protects the
fragile corals from all manner of
damage.
Standard EMI systems are designed for boats up to 55 feet in normal sea condition (up to six foot
seas) for the area in which they are installed, if system is well maintained. Boats have to provide
additional scoping line to system. (Please request information for customized systems for heavier
loads)
LIABILITY BOATERS:
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK ---- FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH DOCKING AND TIE UP
PROCEDURES ---- DO NOT LEAVE BOATS UNATTENDED
REEF PROTECTION BUOYS:
FOR DAY-USE ONLY ---- DO NOT REMAIN ON MOORINGS IN SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS
LIABILITY BUOY PROVIDER:
PROPER MAINTENANCE IS MANDATORY FOR THE SAFE USE OF SYSTEM
COMPONENTS----BE SURE BOATERS KNOW HOW TO TIE UP PROPERLY TO MOORINGS ----
INFORMATION IS ESSENTIAL ---- SUBSTRATE HAS TO BE SOLID TO GET MAXIMUM
POTENTIAL OUT OF MOORING EYE - SUBSTRATES MAY VARY---- CHOOSE THE RIGHT
LOCATION FOR YOUR MOORING ANCHOR SYSTEM
